The Sweet Adelines Organization
The Sweet Adelines Organization began in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1945, when a group of women decided they wanted to sing four-part barbershop harmony “like the guys”. In the beginning, female barbershop was primarily sung in quartets with Regional and National Quartet Competitions being held annually.

RiverSong Chorus
RiverSong Chorus (formerly The St. Joseph Show Chorus) has a long tradition of participating in these competitions and winning top honors, beginning in 1959, when Byron Myers, a local music teacher, was invited to direct a group of ladies who wanted to begin a Sweet Adeline barbershop chorus in St. Joseph.
