RiverSong brings home BLUE from 2008 Regional Competition! A year-long theme of "One Degree More" inspired RiverSong chorus members to put forth the extra effort and energy that paid off in blue ribbon medals during the Sweet Adelines Region 7 Quartet and Chorus Competition held in Overland Park, KS, April 4-5, 2008. RiverSong earned 1st place in the small chorus division and was further recognized as the recipient of the Ruby Pike Musical Excellence trophy for the highest scoring small chorus in the Sound category. RiverSong was proud to cheer for Deb Rieger as she was named one of 3 Region 7 Star members honored for service and dedication to her chorus and to Region 7. Two other RiverSong members found places in the medalist spotlight during the quartet competition as All That! quartet with Bass Leslie Galbreath earned 5th place quartet award and RiverSong chorus director and quartet Lead Kim Kraut with PRIMO! quartet earned 1st place accolades and a berth in the International Quartet Competition scheduled for October 2008 in Honolulu, Hawaii. |
