Amy is new to Barbershop but has long had an interest in a cappella singing. She joined RiverSong in 2015 and quickly fell in love with the shared joy in singing and the sense of fun, as well as the hard work and dedication of the members.
Amy is a wife and mother of 8, which means she has limited free time for herself, so that time, for her, must be spent wisely. She wants to spend her time doing something creative and fun, but also meaningful. Singing in a women's barbershop chorus is the perfect fit. She says, "Being a part of RiverSong allows me to have fun and accomplish goals I set for myself, while still being a part of something bigger and more meaningful than anything I could do alone." Her favorite event is the annual Sing-A-Thon. "To bring joy in song and a shared love for music to those who need it and appreciate it so much... it's just a beautiful feeling."
In addition to singing, she also enjoys baking, reading, writing, and spending time with her family. "Like most moms, my kids are my top priority," she says with a smile, "but my Sweet Adeline sisters aren't far behind."
