Diana Smith was raised on a farm near Lenox, Iowa, and is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a major in earth science.  Diana and her husband, Keith, have been married for
over 40 years and have a daughter, Kylee. Keith and Diana live in Maryville, Missouri, and remain loyal Bearcats.

Diana, Keith, and eventually Kylee all worked or are currently working in the field of education. Diana taught students with disabilities and students needing alternative schooling, specializing in the math and science areas. 

Music has always played a major role in the Smith home. Diana is a member of the Nodaway Chorale and sings for the Maryville Young Players Second Stage each summer.
After retiring from education, Diana joined RiverSong and has thrived on the enjoyment and challenges of barbershop music.

Diana is the baritone for RiverSong quartet Staff Party, and she is serving RiverSong as the Marketing Coordinator.
